Birmingham Street Action 11th July 2009. Darren Pollard Unlawfully arrested for "breach of the peace".
Today We Are Change Brum tried to speak truth to power but during filming Darren was unlawfully arrested for use of a bullhorn/megaphone. Please spread this vid like wildfire!

The only arrestable offence committed in this video was by the police officer - he was riding a bike on a public footpath. We have his Identification Number and we have the video evidence. So we are allowed to make a citizens arrest. Contact West Midlands Police:

In order to be arrested by the police under common law, they need to show that your actions have caused injury, harm or loss to another person. What the police are trying to do here is enforce a statute, which requires your consent.

In any case, it is not a breach of the peace to use a megaphone in the way Darren is using it here. If this was an offence, then at election time politicians wouldn't be able to drive around in cars with megaphones on top shouting "VOTE FOR YOUR LOCAL LABOUR CANDIDATE!!" Also, ice-cream vans wouldn't be allowed to play that stupid music when they park in your street. Also, house and car alarm systems would be illegal. The bottom line is, these cops think they're God because they wear a uniform.
