After suffering serious injuries in a May 21st crash in Haubstadt, IN, Kody Swanson made his return to racing full-time and his return to Victory Lane on the same night at Lucas Oil Raceway.
Driving for Team 6R Racing, powered by Toyota and sponsored by Kroger and Wawona Packing, Kody and Tanner Swanson finished 1st & 3rd in the 2011 JD Byrider 100 during Kroger Speedfest.
After starting 6th, Kody got to the lead by lap 20, and pulled away to a sizeable margin before a deflating Right Rear tire plagued him in the closing laps. He was able to hold on, while Tanner moved up to the 3rd spot, and is now tied for the series point lead.
While the win was Kody's 2nd in the USAC Silver Crown series, the victory made Team 6R Racing the All-Time Silver Crown Wins leader with 26.
