  • If I understand your response, that wouldn't work (at least with these particular solenoids). These solenoids can only PULL. Usually there is a spring on them to return them to the original state which I removed.

    If I use the solenoid with the spring and magnets to hold it open and closed then it would get stuck in the pull state because there wouldn't be another force to pull it from the magnets.

    I don't think it is possible to use just one pull solenoid, unless you know something I don't.

  • I have since gone away from the solenoids, but I got them from gold mine electronics part number G16036

  • Hi Portojbc,

    Why have you gone off using the solenoids?

  • Why not just use a single soleniod with a small magnet at the open and close positions?

    Then you only need to power it to change state and only need one solenoid.
