Yeah I know. Depending on what you want to become, and the degrees needed it could be even more. It also depends on what type of college you go to.
I would use the iMac as my main computer, it's actually my set up right now.

ya, I'd rather keep it than sell it for anything less than $1200 (maybe $1300 was asking a bit too much?)... thanks, though (lol).

Well since your a college kid, and college kids are probably the poorest americans. I would stick with the box. :]]

good deal, I think that's what I'm going to end up doing, it's simple and it takes like 5sec to set up... by the way, the only reason I'm able to buy this stuff while being in college is because I manage my money (and I've never been in debt). as long as my tuition and other expenses are paid for, I don't have to feel bad about spending money here and there for things I need.
in this case, it just means that I have 2 computers now and only need 1 (oops)...

That's cool I hope to stay out of debt as well. I would suggest you keeping your iMac && the MacBook because you never know what your going to be doing next, but money can be a situation. Can't wait for the next vid. :]]

true... I've actually been considering just using the iMac as my main computer (for music archiving/editing/recording and general photo/video editing purposes) and using the MacBook just for school stuff (downloaded class notes, on-campus research, papers, etc.). we'll see.
by the way, if you're able to stay out of debt and still go to college, you're in a very small minority of people... but if you can pull it off, it means you don't graduate with $100k of college loans to pay off :).
