nice! I'm thinking about taking my arab to some trail competitions with my local 4h...You have a gorgeous appy! He looks just like my mom's horse.
-
dear god that's a georgous appy.

yeah, i would be in region 6, but have not been showing yet because I am new to the area and need to find a trainer for my horse. any suggestions? who do you work with? I have been asking around and have not found the right fit. No worries about being cranky.

The horse has had thousands of dollars worth of body work to keep him in a comfortable state that is also good enough to show up to first level. We accept him as what he is, and accept that he will never be able to do lateral work well. I am not sure why you are so concerned, seeing as he is not your problem, however I do somewhat enjoy knowing people care that much about horses. He has been checked out by one of the best vets in the country, and is rideable, he just has his limits.

Compressed hip and shoulder? Doesn't the equine body do that naturally by movement, I think it's pretty impossible for it to stay that way. And if they do, you probably shouldn't be riding the horse cause I imagine most vets would agree there would be a large amount of discomfort to the horse only increased with a rider on its back.
Im sorry but, did you PRACTICE at ALL before this show??

I'm sorry, but I believe you're not actually sorry at all. No, we didn't practice. We do it for FUN, even if we're not GOOD at it. We do not have access to practice trail at home, and I don't care enough to go find a way to. If we were showing breed shows, I might bother, but at $5 per class, I'm not too worried.

Hey sorry to have offended you...Your appy just looks a little cranky...That's why I agreed with Tempis...Sorry to hear about his physical issues...Did you get him x-rayed? Did your vet ok him to work at the level you are showing him...And sorry to hear your computer is not working. But I think I saw you at a show this past weekend riding your chestnut...looks like you tried hard...sorry it didn't go so well...better luck next time.

Sorry I sounded cranky, I tend to get that way when people think they know more about my horse than I do. He has been approved to be working at the level he is working at, which I commented on in my reply to Tempis. I didn't realize you're in Region 6, which show were you at? Do you show?
