Great song & superb dancers, esp the girl to Brian's far left. Note how the lead dancer almost lost her belt which got loose late in the performance.
There certainly was a lot of great entertainment on TV in those days. How I miss those shows!!

The young women and men back then had class compared to today's condescending today; most of the songs glorifying gang violence and sexual perversion.

The Brunette to Brians right is a real cutie, great smile and the best dancer....Pity her skirt didn't fall down! Now THAT would have been nice!!!

Once again a great pop song from a great era! Pop Music then was fun!! Todays music tries so hard to be serious and even too hard to get a message across.....Chill out guys! Have fun!! I feel very lucky to have had my youth when music like this gem of a song was around. FANTASTIC!!!!

@hookalakah - it's the 60's chill dude

My favorite dancer was Lesley Evans, the brunet to Hyland's immediate right. To get a better view of her, she's on a number of old TV shows: "Here's Lucy," and three episodes of MASH, as Nurse Mason in "For the Good of the Outfit," as Nurse Mitchell in "Kim," and as Nurse Bryan in "Divided We Stand." She was also a secretary in "Shampoo."

This was shot at the carousel ride at Griffith Park in L.A.

GREAT SONG, FROM a TIME THAT MUSIC WAS MUSIC, not like nowadays, where rap shit is what they call music, I call it SHIT. Love the 60's music, when songs and REAL music. was music

It may look as if they are missing the beat when they clap because this was shot from quite a distance away, the people sitting behind them are doing the same. It's the same thing one hears at a large stadium when the crowd claps in unison, the claps from the people across the field arrive much later because of the sound traveling to the camera. Also, The music from the area of the camera may take a while to reach the dancers and people behind them.

Maybe so...but they're definitely not the A Team.
No offense, shmuley, but those dancers are strictly second string--they can't even clap on the beat of the song. "Where the Action Is" was a road show and sometimes used local dance talent. Look for the "Hollywood a Go Go" clips on YouTube and check out the varsity of '60s dancers. I'd reccomend the Bobby Fuller Four doing "I Fought the Law," for one good example of '60s dancing.

Was this from "Where the Action Is"? Go-go dancing in the park, that must be the way royalty lives... :-)
