An interview with Walter Mugdan, EPA Region 2 Director of the DEPP, about the Diamond Shamrock Superfund site in Newark, New Jersey. Mr. Mugdan describes the process of building a protective box around the dredge area to inhibit the spread of pollution while workers remove dioxin contaminated mud. This interview was conducted by Wheeler Antabanez at an EPA press conference, which took place on the capped remains of the Diamond Alkali factory on October 31, 2011.
