@TheIkkap This whole song was written as a cop out. They were told to repeat the success of "Happy Together" so they literally did. The flipped the chord progression around and came up with this. Their producer or someone said "you should say something about how she's your pride and joy et cetera" so they literally put "you're my pride and joy et cetera" into the chorus.

My old record player had a particular smell when you opened the lid. A sort of plasticy vinyl type smell. A combination of the record and the player. As soon as this song started, I swear I could smell it.
