This is an old pop song I recorded for the album "Every Sound Below-" the brook rhythm should be clear enough I think. There's still plenty of snow in the woods, but not for long. The peepers came out the day after the last snow more than a week ago. The salamanders woke up last Tuesday, and the town is out grading the roads. It looks like nobody is expecting more winter. I wouldn't mind another month or two, but the smell of warm dirt and skunk cabbage is intoxicating.

  • Hey Mr. Eriksen, You were at my school today! Your singing, lyrics, and playing are terrific and masterfully done. Thanks for stopping by.

  • @phsycopath123 Hey- nice to meet you. Glad you're enjoying the music!

  • @batfancy Tim -- Your choice to play not only IN nature but WITH nature or as an accompaniment to the sounds of the natural world is moving and thought-provoking.

Which digital recoder do you use? Do you get this sound quality solely from the microphone on your video camera or do you augment it? Do you muffle the mike in any way to keep wind out?

Thank you -- all of these are wonderful.

  • @tannsolo well I love making music with whatever's going on around. I do have a little mic that attaches to the camera, but for this one I just used the one that's built in-seems to work ok unless there's way too much else going on...

  • I love that the video didn't end when the song ended; the waterfall was given its own time to speak :)

  • I miss the eastern woodlands.

    Great place, great performance.

  • I'm pretty sure that I account for about 300 of the 6,500 views lol

  • The water sounds are very hypnotic - thank you for this!

  • Well, thank you for treating your (wonderful) voice as an instrument and not as a power to levitate your ego.

  • 1 year later: cool. Me too. It could have been Louie Louie or Ace of Spades in a way. Something familiar and strange against a backdrop like that.
