  • Whac-a-critter (genisis) has not EVER been beat without cheats either

  • "And Billy's like, 'Oh, God...'"

Brilliant. I was hooked on Spoony from that line onwards.

  • I beaten the game fairly when I was about 10. Its not that difficult, my advice is play the three practice levels to acquire additional lifes, etc. Memorise where the rocks are on the driving level, acquire a whip on the bourbon street levels, acquire as many pistol bullets as possible and always wear a bulletproof vest. I probably found it easier being from the UK, playing it in 50hz. Snake Rattle n Roll, thats a real tough game.

  • @CFDragon

Well, you're entitled to your own opinion on that. I just disagree, is all.

  • @mytruepower2 To be fair, the examples you cited are different in that one group is video game reviews and the other is movie. His more recent video game reviews, like Final Fantasy X-2, have plenty extra comedic bits in them outside of game footage. Everyone has different tastes, but personally I don't think he's any less funny.

  • @CFDragon

I think all of these things added something to his reviews, but for me, the high point, by far was the dancing. These days, he just kind of sits around and gripes, which is less fun to watch if you don't add some variety to it. This is what differentiates Spoony's early reviews (Robin Hood, Hell's Kitchen, Baiyu Billy, Samurai Zombie, Etc...) from his later ones (DOA, Death of a Soldier, X2, etc...)

  • @mytruepower2 You are being extraordinarily melodramatic. You're right about one thing, that this, with the rest of Spoony's videos, is produced by the labor of love. Were the dolls really the highest point of the show, anyway? Sure they are good times, but they've played their role already. Don't let a twisted perception of the artist ruin what he creates.

  • It isn't that hard man just play the damn thing. Ghosts n' Goblins is literally experiencing hell. There is no way to beat that legit if you have sold your soul to satan on the night of a full moon between 3 and 4 in the morning and thought you were going to be the one person on the planet to actually finish it nope you have to do it all over again and it's even harder because you have to use a weapon with no range making it impossible to kill any of the most devastating undodgeable enemies.

  • That cart came from Bookmans! :D

  • @AdeyAdey

No kidding. Also, I don't know if anybody noticed, but Spoony had a lot more energy in these early reviews. He's a fast-talker, he plays around with the peripherals (and sometimes with dolls,) and sometimes, he even dances when he thinks it'll add to the review. This is clearly the fruit of someone doing what he wants to do with his spare time, and it shows.

But two things can crush any artist; money and pride.
