This kind of thing is going to continue to happen till we start jailing prosecutors that do this in court. And before anyone says who cares Stephens was guilty or who cares he was a republican, remember that he isn't the only that has been railroaded by the system. You may not like him, but what happened here was not fair and isn't how our system should work.

I know.. I am not blaming Obama..
Obama is a Good man.. I just hope the Justice System treats Stephens as they would any other person, whose case was over turned for ethics violations.. Replace the Prosecutor, and retry him..

yo nephilim, bra i like completely agree that ted is nothing but old boys network fo sho.
but check-it, i'm completely down with obama showing grace and integrity, something never seen by bush, in letting this go.
there's like totally no point, he's paid the price and the senate is rid of him.

Ted Stephens is apart of the Ol' Boys network, which has this Country currently bent over barrel, and getting up the ass by the Chinese!
Rot in Hell Ted Stephens.. Holder is going to prosecute you again! Get ready!
-
Normally in a case like this, where the conviction was overturned, the Attorney General would send in new Prosecutors, to try the defendant again..
If they do not try Ted Stephens again, it would be abnormal. Sure the Prosecutor may have acted unethically, however he probably had to, in order to convict a corrupt US Senator who has been apart of the Federal Government for so long.. Ted Stephens length in the Senate clearly shows he has committed Treason numerous times against this Country!

huh? did bush have a choice when there obviously were no wmd, or clinton when he obviously was lying (just added to be non-partisan)
i mean like yo, politicians ignore the so-called obvious in pursuit of their agendas as a matter of course.
accordingly, this is like real change on blast

He participated in a Pay for Play Scheme, in which he took money or gifts from a contractor in exchange for favorable legislation.
He is guilty, of the crime he was convicted of, however obviously Holder did not like the conduct of the Prosecutor..
I would rather see Stephens conviction overturned however, if there is any chance the Prosecutor may have been unethical..
Now.. Lets see how many more people we can let out of Prison, based on this ruling!!

It wasn't as if Holder had much of a choice, given the obvious misconduct. And with Stevens out of office, why should he care? The damage has been done.
When is the attorney general going to indict Pelosi, Frank, Dodd and ALL the other members of our corrupt government? I won't hold my breath!
