Sounds much better with a chamber choir than with an interstate one!
At 0:16 Jamie goes into 2 for a short while and confirmed an idea I had in looking at the Carrington directing.
We may all conduct this in 4, but it's probably because our choirmasters did when we were choristers!
On looking again at the OUP edition of 1960, Editor Walter S. Collins has in fact given a 2/2 time signature to this piece.
I still think stereophonic placing of at least the sopranos will enhance the performance.
