I never spray my hair BEFORE curling. You're really not supposed to :/ It can burn the hair.. it defeats the purpose of the heat protectant. You're also going to break your hair from tugging it like that when it's fully wrapped around the iron. I don't really like the result you got with those curls.

@IIGizII Yes, PLEASE use a heat protectant. I didn't for a really long time because I didn't think it was necessary, but it really is. There is a huge difference in the texture/look of my hair now. It's soft, doesn't LOOK dry any longer, plus it just makes your hair smell good too. :)
