REO SPEEDWAGON LIVE IN PANAMA

A few shots from the first REO SPEEDWAGON concert in Panama, during what Kevin referred to in his newsletter as the "Tropical Depression Tour". Every REO concert has been special to me and this is the one I have enjoyed the most (even though it didn't have a very sophisticated stage). The sound was great, the audience reacted very good, the repertoire was excellent, and they sounded as good as ever. Not a single bad review next day on the newspapers.

what were your settings on the HV30 for this video?.....I'm looking to do some recordings of my band in clubs and the footage that you got looks fantastic...just wondering what all your settings were on the camera that gave you such a great look....thanks!

• Set the audio level in AUTO with the MIC ATT on. Excellent for loud music - no complains.

BETTER THAN ANY EXTERNAL MIC.

• HDV 24p

• CINEMODE

• Manual focus

• I toggled between manual and auto exposure in order to lock it when I got it right.

• The image was plain, I did not use any of the effects or image settings.

• Handheld

• Just one camera

Settings seem about the same as what i use.I have to agree that the mic is quite good for loud music,although its yet another thing i have to perfect.Love the camera,and have filmed a few gigs with mine.

Thank you all for the compliment. I wish the band would hire me someday as a concert video producer. That would be nice. There are more songs but I haven't had the time to put them together.  A lot of the footage was ruined by me singing out of tune.
