  • Fasting has no effect on metabolism.metabolism is more tied to body weight and lean mass.it won't slow down under any fast

  • @11033066099 Fasting doens't affect your metabolism if you only fast for 24 hours, I think you need to fast for more than 48 hours for it to start slowing down. I'm no expert though x)

  • DOES this help build muscle

  • quick question,..what does fasting do to your metabolism?? like,..none of my friends would fast because they have high metabolisms,..so they can eat what they want and burn it off by sitting in one spot lol. But i dont have that metabolism. i have alot of fat and muscle. So what will this do to my metabolism??

  • nigga sayin pop! must be from PA hahah

  • Actually, it would be best to stay away from any and all diet drinks, while fasting. Amazing things are happening to your body when you fast and it will absorb the toxic chemicals that are in diet drinks and sweeteners. A lot of those toxins will not leave your body through a clean diet or more fasting, and you could be stuck with possible side effects or diseases that will manifest at a later time in your life.

Examine the substantial research of the dangers of diet drinks.

  • Yea, weight gain is caused by an excess of calories (eating above BMR). Sweeteners are 0-calorie so they can't possibly cause you to gain fat.

Thank you for demonstrating the right way to respond to a comment :)

  • @gargantuandick I read something on this ages ago. That the taste triggers something to be chemically released in the body because it thinks/is tricked into believing the liquid is calorie rich. But I bow to Brads greater knowledge as he reads and understands science papers not webpage snippets :)
