Me and my brothers took my 2008 Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon for a little trail ride - it was quite muddy and we got severely stuck. Luckily, it is equiped with a Mile Marker 10,500 lb hydraulic winch, which came it quite handy.

  • One word. Momentum.

  • Usually, this is the case, but the angle heeling towards the driver's side made it very close to the berm and I didn't want to destroy my week-old JK just yet. I'd rather take the chance on getting stuck and having the winch out then damaging my vehicle.

  • because I just got it and didn't want to get the interior filthy. I figured the winch is strong enough to get it without any additional help, so it wouldn't matter. :)

  • Saw pics of your car on the jk forum. Looks awesome. Currently trying to get a Unlimited Rubicon in white or rescue green.

  • MAn - I think I made the best choice, but Rescue Green is a friggin awesome color. That would have been my second choice. Or maybe my first - hard to say.

  • I used to work for Mile Marker down in Pompano Beach about 10 years ago and built these things daily. I recall some off-road magazine competing our MM hydraulic winch vs. the Warn electric winch and even though our winch left Warn's in the dust, the magazine said Warn's out did the MM winch.

The owner of MM was suing the magazine as it was strongly believed the Warn paid the magazine off. Mile Marker is far superior which is why even the military is now using the MM winch.

  • First lesson... everytime you call a JEEP a CAR, God kills a kitten. If you are a JK forum member, you should know that!

  • @Dugn8r add tires. add momentum. possibly small block chevy.......

  • the people who voted this video a thumbs down have pubic lice

  • That is not considered "severely stuck" as you so aptly put it. Get a life

  • @Rexey005 What the fuck does low range have to do with getting out. Mud you want wheel speed and low range you will tach out way before the wheels get to digging.

That winch was slow, but it did get you out.

  • Is that a shrock???

  • I could have dug you out before that winch pulled you out. what was the line speed 8 inches a min.? I love MM but I think you had something ran wrong for it to be so fucking slow!!!!!!

  • what the hell took u so fucking long!!!

  • I WARNed foo !!

  • Obviously the vehicle got out but.....is it just "me" or did it take an exceptionally long time to winch out of the mud?
