com means common which is the input
another pin will be marked. NO, normally open, the other is NC normally closed, comm and nc are connected until you press the switch then com and nc are connected

Just a small side note, this is technically not an ESC as it is full on or full off. An ESC also regulates the rpm's of the motor.

@pengashwebb0121 A do it yourself RC switch. Some refer to it as bang bang drive, but that is a bit cryptic and as you pointed out it doesn't have to be for the drive. It could be to start or stop anything electric remotely.
