1999 Amsterdam Walking Tour - part 1

Our Walking Tour starts out on Dam Square in front of Madam Tussaud's. Next we take off down a narrow alley in the nearby shopping district, avoiding the tram before heading over to the Multatuli monument with a panoramic view of the square and canal. Just a few feet away we come upon the Grey Area coffeeshop and Puccini designer chocolates. Watch as we sample the chocolates before going inside the Grey Area to get a look at their wall of fame. Finally, this segment ends with the melodic chimes of church bells.

I'm not sure about the time, but there seems to be crowds in the streets almost around the clock. Tell me about the hotel you stayed in and your favorite coffeeshops.

Cool video, how much has Amsterdam it changed in the last 8 years? You have any favorite C/S? is the time of day correct seemed like nobody was out much until about 10 AM when we were there last.
