Black Peter was actually a Moor, not a Black African. So you could compare him to a Berber person, which became black due to his climbing through chimneys.. Know your history!

I love Sinterklaas he's freaking awesome!!! The black guys or how we call in Holland Zwarte Pieten are the one that steal the show. Every child want to be a Zwarte Piet. Becouse of Sinterklaas we get on 5 dec presents and 3 days of Chrismas with presents, you guys have only one day. I don't hate you but really WTF. Do some more research! Wij zijn cool en houden van Sinterklaas en de Zwarte Pieten en jij HOUDT JE BEK!!! HA je weet niet wat hier staat. OVERWINNING! Maar ik ben nogsteeds boos...

The "Zwarte Pieten" are actually white people but they turned black cuz of the chimneys. They where called Moren becouse the black people then, came from the country below Spain: Morocco. Its not six to eight because Sinterklaas doesn't always takes the same number of zwarte pieten with him. The zwarte pieten where'nt slaves, but people who worked for Sinterklaas (he is their employer).

There is no Dutch version of Santa Claus, because the American Santa is a version of the Dutch Sinterklaas.

If Charcoal can do 'Wonders' like that..why do white people pay a lot of money cuz they need to get tanned?..all they need to do is to go down the Chimney & they all will come out with the desired 'Kleurtje', & it wont cost a thing!. & when they are tanned they call it a 'Kleurtje'..or Brown!..Brons!. (lol). Same thing with bread!: Brown Bread is called Plain: Brown Bread..cuz its brown right?..Thats how they call it in Holland. But a Brown Man in Holland is called: 'Black'. Measure that!!

@Metalme14 I beg the differ: They are white people who went down the chimney & turned into Black because of the Racist Minded people that invented the Story & the Followers who still keep this Degrading Offensive & Racist Zwarte Piet Tradition alive charcoal has nothing to do with it. If it had, then Piet would came back out as a recognizable White man just dirty because of the charcoal & not with suggestive thick red lips, Nappy hair & sometimes even talking with the well known foreign accent
