2000 12 Hours of Sebring footage. Audi begins its incredible streak of dominating the 12 Hours of Sebring and the entire ALMS series by winning the race in the #78 Audi co-driven by Frank Biela, Tom Kristensen, & Emanuele Pirro. The first set of track shots are from the inside of the hairpin turn. The second set of shots are from the outside of the track, and filming from the exit of Gurney Bend down the straight towards the hairpin Turn. The last set of shots are from a pit box vantage point. These shots of the cars ripping down the pit straight are the final laps of the race. The car at 0:51 is the Panoz LMP-1 Roadster-S with an Elan 6L8 - 6.0L V8 engine. The Panoz car #2 was co-driven by American Driver Johnny O'Connell & Japanese Driver Hiroki Katou. They started in 36th position & were a DNF after completing 79 laps. Interesting car that was a mid-front engine design which put the driver biased towards the rear of the car. We did hear from one of the drivers of the Panoz LMP-1, sitting that far back in the car subjected them to a pounding ride, esp. @ Sebring.

yeah, the noise limit change is incredibly stupid. I know dbs are logarithmic but in the end it wont make that much difference. the cars are still going to be loud... aka too loud for people who complain about this.

You're from UK, you've probably heard about the case with Croft... now people can also make money with noise appeals. :/

it isn't going to be that bad. Judd's 4.0 liter V-10 screamed but it doesn't have the torque of today's 5.5 liter motor.
