A brushless DC pulse motor driven by a Pentagonal wound coil I call the Startilt Pentagoner, nicknamed Devil's Trap by my friend Dave. It is only half wound but it works so well already I wanted to put up a video on it. It is based partly on the new Vortex math info that Randy Powell has available here on Youtube, under the "abhakingdom" Also ideas from Alex Petty and Singularics.com Thanks much. I think the center pentagon is still too wide though I'm using fatter 2 inch diameter mailing tubes. Checkout the Google "Rodin Coil" group for more info.
May all your winds be true and unkinked
I pulse in order to evolve.
Aloha

  • Hello, your video gives no detailed explanation of your device or its construction.

    (1) What gauge wire are you using?

    (2) Magnet is not located within the windings, so why is it working so well?

    (3) Is that a secondary coil I see wrapped in electrical tape next to the magnet?

    (4) What are you using for bearings?

    (5) Pentagonal shape verses circular, did you find any performance differences, if so, what were they?

  • (6) How long has it run for non-stop?

    (7) What were the specification of your 2 capacitors?

    (8) Why all the holes with numbers in your frame as they seem to serve no purpose?

    (9) How come your rotating magnet is not located within the center of your coil which would offer better interaction?

    (10) What is the voltage of the battery we see that you are using?

You may want to put the answers in your video description so as you do not have to answer these FAQ's over and over.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @FreeMagneticEnergy2 tries to reply but it is not working, sorry

  • @FreeMagneticEnergy2 All power is from a 12 volt power brick, the motor uses about 300-55 ma.

see also my other videos, mostly they have a schematic, and the Google Rodin Coil group where I post things frequently.

  • @FreeMagneticEnergy2 Thanks for the commnents and interest

    1. #26 gauge only magnet wire

    2. Offsets from center of coil vertical and horizontal give best performance

also position of th Hall sensor.

    3. No other coils than the 2 windings on the pentagon shown.

  • @FreeMagneticEnergy2 4. Roller blade type bearingd 1/4/inch diam, mated to a 12 inch stainless steel bearing rod that is mildly magnetic.

    5. Not sure if a pentagon wind is better than donut, triangle, or hexagon.

    more experimentation needed !

    6. non-stop run for 30 minutes, nothing overheats,

    7. 500 ufd /250 vdc electrolytic caps that cycle charge well

    8. Frame is a test tube holder from a hospital, it is sturdy

  • this reminds me of the romag generator.

romag is supposed to be a free running motor.

    uses kind of similar gemoetrics!

  • @jackscholze, sorry about that Jack, as you need to be on my friends list to contact me directly. Just accept my friends invitation to contact me directly.

Again, thank you for your valuable time.

  • @jackscholze, wow... thank you ever so kindly for answering my questions. I know all to well how hard it can be to keep up with questions about science projects. Thus I learned it was best to place the FAQ & A in the video description section.

Again, thank you ever so much for your gracious time, sir.
