@LAUMENsaysNO the 97-01 Explorers with the SOHC V6 are one of the fastest SUVs that you can buy even to this very day. i have a vid up of mine doing 0-60 in 7 secs even with 223k miles.

@FPGT24 i was wondering bout that, i just got a 98 explorer v6 4.0 liter sohc and once i hit the gas peddle that thing is gone, but after i get to about 70 it loses some serious power

@yellowmusicfreak my 97 Explorer SOHC w/ 222k miles is still pretty damn quick, it hits 60 in about 8 seconds. the torque is pretty strong it throws me back in the seat if i punch the gas. once they are at about 70mph though they have no balls.

Them explorers are pretty quick with the V8, I donno what this one had...but all the engines are torquey...my little 4.0 V6 will chirp rubber in 2nd gear...and with 197,000 miles, it's not even runnin on all 6 cylinders...

I had a V6 Explorer 1995 that could burn little ricer Honda Civics. That was before I crashed the damn thing in a ditch. One of the best SUVs ever.

im not even sure who won. Camera was in a horrible position. but it looked like the silverado was pulling toward the middle. and i know my yukon spanks my brothers 4.0.
