The tussle for political control of the Rift Valley appears to have intensified with retired president Daniel Arap Moi maintaining he will be involved in politics for as long as he is alive. But as Moi was being feted in Iten, Agriculture Minister William Ruto was in Eldama Ravine where he was endorsed as the regions choice for the presidency come 2012.

  • By considering how behind African people are you will think that these men will be eager to put their personal gains aside and hasten the education and development of their people. Instead their imagination and ambition is as backward and ugly as their face.

  • Lol!!... "the Hitler salute" ha ha ha ha a

  • The tribalist hasnt dropped his tribal antiques and nepotism even after staying in the cold 4 so long

He is sorrounded by a bunch of loosers like him

His political views are tribal based/driven ...... he need be arrestred for insiting Wanannchi

  • "they" shouldn't spare any air time on this ol' fool... those church leaders hand salute... eti Heil who?

  • LMAO!!Thats very funny!Sometimes stupidity finds a way of getting things done.Moi's statement amount ot majimboism!Am i right??

  • Sorry for the mix. It is dialogue Chotara mistook for a menu item, he, however, wanted Karl Marx arrested for causing trouble at the University. Yes I still believe the foursome were (is for BlaliHell)very loyal and contributed mor than their fair share in the country's development

  • Wewe Siasabora hapana leta Siasambaya.Yes,Chotara's history, which no Kenyan historian has cared to document(may be we should fund one) is very conflicted,ie.from being a MauMau fighter to opposing Kenyatta etc.But those who were in UoN then know him as the benevolent guy whose response to UoN student demo was"if Karl Marx isall they want then why not give it to them".Poor Chotara,he thought Karl was part of the menu.Just like his buddy Bargetuny who addressed Moi as "hayati".Good leaders though

  • Lol...Shonde u remind me of Chotara. All the trees yu see in Naivasha were planted by Chotara. He pushed gov't to tarmac all the streets. Even goats were scared of the man! lol

  • When will this people preach that kenya is not for many tribes. If moi can say such stupid comment toward people so what will follow next..?mzee your time ended lisha ng'ombe nyumbani wacha mambo mingi.we are kenyans.....!

  • Perhaps Baba Moi should learn from the late Mulu. After a UoN graduation ceremony and only hearing the names Otieno,Chege etc he wondered aloud as why there were no Kamba in the list.He then went to work and his illiteracy not withstanding many schools in Kambaland today are a result of the good ol man's efforts.Compare this to the educated leaders of today and you wanna cry.May I also salute the often maligned but very effective leaders viz Nassir,Chotara, Bargetuny(BlaliHell)for a job well done
