The South African Revenue Service collected nearly 100 percent of its targeted revenue for the tax year that ended march the 31st. SARS collected some 625 billion rand for the fiscus, which is just two billion short of its target. They have taken into account that businesses are experiencing difficulty and more people are expected to lose their jobs.
