The sodium silicate that is being poured into the engine is supposed to harden and seize up the engine. This is done to ensure that the car never returns to the road.

I'm still waiting for someone to give me a good answer how it helps an economy for the government to pay people NOT to work for the last $4500 toward their new ride. Economies are built from people serving their fellow man. C4C pays them to NOT serve while punishing tax payers, who DID serve and now get nothing for it. If you can afford a car bill, you can afford to wait/save for your new car without stealing money from taxpayers. You would be helping the economy by working for that money.
