  • yes, this lens will be available for Sony.

    Maximum aperture is F2 and minimum is F22

  • I'm sure you like yours, but my mate's has been back to get fixed 3 times now, and its finally going in the bin. Poor quality kit as I said before. I'd never let a Tamron near my cameras.

  • @DJBufster the 180 mm is one of the most respected and sharpest macro lenses around. Great working distance. And no, it is a lens feature.

  • Override autofocus is a camera feature not a lens feature. Tamron is poor quality kit I'm afraid.

    I think I prefer the Tamron. It's expensive but with f2 it can double as a portrait lens. So really, you're getting a macro and portrait lens with it.
