Extended Teaser Video Music Promo for Track 1 of 4 from the brand new, officially-licensed 'AIRWOLF MAIN THEMES EP' sequel Soundtrack release from the Airwolf Themes project team, showing off the show's Intro and Main Theme Tune. This is a preview EP for the upcoming 'AIRWOLF EXTENDED THEMES' 2CD Official Soundtrack in early 2012, which will contain lots of Airwolf Theme Music including many extended variations of the Opening Theme, Closing Theme, plus episodic cues from the Airwolf TV series episodes.

Paired with relevant visuals this music promo is intended to show a wider range of the music contained within the track compared to a standard 30-second Teaser.

You can buy the complete AIRWOLF MAIN THEMES EP theme tune score directly from (and supporting) the original artists including Jan Michal Szulew, Sylvester Levay, and myself Mark J.Cairns at the official "Airwolf" TV series music soundtrack website where you can buy music from the show:

  • Nice, but another Youtube user has you beat hands down with his own version (Airwolf - Extended by like2upload). But don't take my word, compare for yourself.

  • @TedStryker71 Well aware of it, thanks. It's different in its own right. We're only interested in emulating the original off-air music as you heard it on the show. LikeToUpload has done his own take on it. If you read back through his comments, you'll see I was one of the first to congratulate / comment.

  • @markjcairns I bought your version a while ago, it is excellent and I think as good as the original, I don't like the LikeToUpload version, I grew up in the UK watching Airwolf, I moved to the States recently and I am experimenting with writing scripts in my free time, one of my ideas is a sequel to Airwolf, based around the same style as Burn Notice, do u think that could work?

  • @startrek100176 Thanks for the kind comment. I've never seen Burn Notice as yet so can't comment on the comparison. However I'd advise you also look at the sticky topic at airwolf (dot) tv's main Airwolf Forum regarding sequel scripts for the show. Some interesting points and fan expectations are listed for those like yourself who have taken the time and trouble to write a story.

  • what is the name of font?

  • @joerockandrool

It's my own re-creation Joe, that took me over 3 months originally to do as a professional Type 1 Postscript typeface for the Mac (only). The closest commercial typeface available now is Elfring's "EARTH" font series -- an updated version of the original Airwolf/Terminator 1984 typeface, which they used recently on Knight Rider 2008 TV show.

  • Personally, I think that Sylvester Levay would be proud. I've listened to a few remakes and remixes of the Airwolf theme music over the years and never liked any of them till now. The style and feel of the Cairns tracks sound so close to the originals that I though they were made by Levay himself. I hope that there are more tracks someday. Echoes From The Past, Gabriel's Theme, and Fallen Angel were some of my favorites from the OST. Outstanding work Mr. Cairns!

  • @TedStryker71 Subjective matter. Depends what you prefer: a modern remix/take or a faithful recreation of the original. It's apples vs oranges!

  • How did you do the sweet effect at the end of the ascending theme in the other preview? Kind of like an alternating echo.

    SWEET.

  • Many thanks. It's a multi-composite created with Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion 3, Adobe After Effects CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS4 and iTunes 9' built-in visualizer (for the visual analogy of using the Main Themes EP from digital downloads), amongst other bits and pieces. ;D
