  • he was granted clemency

  • Only the victims and God know the truth? sadly this is part of

the judicial process, sometimes justice make mistakes. But

over all justice is served. May God have mercy on his soul.

  • @Lovegainers5 If he is truly innocent I hope that we certainly aren't stupid enough to put him on death row. Death is irreversible.

  • @omgitsaghiles i thought you might say that it doesn't work anyway. that doesn't make sense because it works to an extent and seeing as your method hasn't existed it's hard tos say it doesn't work as there's no comparison. you can only say in your view it doesn't deter them Enough. just think if harsh prisons don't deter people then don't expect a relaxing experience to deter people either. your comment doesn't really follow from my last. you have the right ideal of course but yeah.

  • @maxgunn555 well as we can see from the current system, people are not really intimidated by prisons. Even if they were, intimidation has never stopped people from commiting crime. If you look at times when punishment involved torture, bodily amputaion and death... crime still existed, i would even add that according to social strain theory, most crime is commited due to societal pressures. this is a known fact, if someone has no food due to unemployment they might resort to crime.

  • @omgitsaghiles that's cool but basicallly there would really have to be a way to prove that they are actually being rehabilitated. otherwise not only might criminals recomit when they're released, but even if they don't re-comit, it might not stop initial crime rates decreasing as they know that they're in for a relaxing experience if they were to get caught. that's why im interested in knowing how it might work exactly as that's to do with my concerns i just mentioned. il probably look it up.

  • @TheStfu1000 yes i don't know how it would be done exactly but i did yay how we can come about to figuring out new treatments. If you can recall, i emphasized on the need of serious studies conducted by professionals. If some people cannot be rehabilitated then yes we have to remove them from society but that is not a neccisarily a punishment, it is a form of defence. What i would do is illiminate the prison system that does focus on mental punishment and rather put them in a place of relaxation

  • @omgitsaghiles no you didn't say how it would be done particularly. i never once said it was impossible. i think i put forward the idea that it possibly being impossible for Some. So my point is if you can't measure whether someone has really been rehabilitated and isn't just faking it then you'll need punishment.

  • This is the untenth death row immate whether male or female to say that they are innocent! This being said, if he is "truly" innocent I hope that he has made peace with God!

  • @TheStfu1000 well i already told you how it would be done, with a lot of scientific research backed by professionals in psychology and medicin. the reason i believe that people can be rehabilitated is because people do get rehabilitated all the time. If you are trying to say that it is impossible then i'm sorry to say you're mistaken.
