Nanoloop on a Gameboy (whose audio is coming in on track 2) is synchronised to the drums playing in Ableton (track 1). This is to test out a new interface I have been working on that syncs Nanoloop to a MIDI clock.

  • @littlescale Do you use any audio2midi converter like Widisoft? I think that you convert the audio from LSDJ to midi. This midi signal go routed MIDI IN Ableton Drum channel, where you have a drum kit. Could you confirm this theory? What else?

  • @ABoyPitch No, your theory is incorrect. The Game Boy is outputting an electrical signal that acts as a tempo clock. This is going to a circuit, which then outputs a MIDI clock signal, which then goes to Ableton Live via a MIDI --> USB converter.

  • FL is Best =S

  • i've never used flstudio before. There is no Mac OS X version.

  • where can I buy this?

  • this is a custom device that i built for someone.

  • @DJCharlieChampa obvious troll

  • can you build it for me? what is your price... thanks

midi> usb converter.... for gb classic

  • hello... what is the difference with a lsdj mc2 ? that is better and perfect with nanoloop 1.5?

    i use live 8.2.2

  • @DJCharlieChampa

FL is not even close to what Ableton Live can do. seriously. Even DJ sasha uses Ableton live. Ive never seen any commercial DJ use FL before. Probably because it doesn't support half of any dj equipment

  • MOST people who use fl sound like garbage... however there are exceptions... blaerg and spore to name a few... however im sick of how much work it takes to make fl sound good so i usually end up running it through ableton to fix everything...

  • I disagree. FLStudio is used by on of the biggest dark DnB and Electro producers out there. Spor; I think that FlStudio is a great piece of software if your looking at producing almost any genre of electronic music. It is more complicated than most people think. your 'witty' comment about FlStudio sounds a certain way 'shitty' is absolute crap.

Don't be so fast to put people opinions down.

  • wow, how do you go about syncing all of this? i have ableton live as well, thought about getting this for my gameboy...plus im midi nooby..hard hobby to get into.

  • that just sounds elitist and dumb to me

    so uhm. sorry?
