  • What would you recommend when there is a grade away from the house and the ground is not perfectly flat? Can you adjust the legs?

  • You can rent or buy adjustable screw jacks that fit into the bottoms of the legs. They are OSHA approved and with one in each leg, you can make the scaffolding perfectly plumb and level.

  • Work regulations in my country prohibits working on a ladder. So if you're getting paid for the job and you're not on scaffolding or a lifting platform, your employer gets it.

  • But you failed to tell us where you live!

  • where is the baseplate , screw jack, is it level? is it plumb

Oh yea, its ease to build it wrong

  • Watch it again. It was set up on a level brick patio.... This was an *introductory* video just showing people scaffolding exists. It was not meant to be a complete course on scaffolding. It sounds like you work in the industry, so how about sharing your knowledge about the topic by taping videos and putting them up on your channel. Can you do that for us?

  • tube and fitting is a lot better however its always better to get a citb approved scaffolder to put any scaffolding up take it from a real scaff

  • I couldn't agree more. Look at some of the major jobs where pipe scaffolding goes up hundreds of feet - our own Statue of Liberty refurbish job years ago. Then look what is done in the Far East with bamboo!

  • Yes I am a brick layer/mason tender and I was up 40 some ft. on one of these, very stable, especially if you use wall ties as some call them, flat pieces of metal that get put between the block joints and grinded off afterwords.

  • Dear Snowboard44,

Ladders are great tools, but sometimes scaffolding offers a great work platform. On flat land you can build several towers and connect them with pics. The best part is the scaffolding never touches the building as ladders do.
