I love this song. The line "and everything was aquamarine" is something I use from time to time when talking about a time in America when there was real hope. We were going to the moon and we knew we were going to go further. Just absolutely love this song.

Back in the wee 80s I remember Jef Scott, handing out flyers for club shows in the Hollywood scene. I was going to a recording school on Sunset Blvd and a lot of stuff was going on. He impressed me at the time and I remember that he seemed really hungry. It's fun to see that he kept up with it. What's he doing now?

Three people do not love the smell of eggs and coffee.

Great song, but terrible video. The footage is too on the nose. He actually puts on a hat when the lyrics say "wear a hat". A song like this needs something more metaphorical. Still one of my favorites songs. GREAT GUITAR SOLO!!!

Bought the CD secondhand in Knoxville after hearing on the radio in '92 I guess. My girls (aged 9 and 7) and I couldn't stop playing it! "Smoke a cigarette and wear a hat..." priceless. Plus the shredding guitar solo! I dig the Foo Fighters idea. Better yet...some record company should re-release it!

Hey Eric...
My name is Dave, I'm the drummer for the Men....every once in a while I look at our video for old times sake, I saw your comment.....I'm so glad you liked the record Bro, we had a lot of fun touring this record it's too bad it didn't go anywhere after "Church"....I liked "Blue Town" too and "The King of Central Park" was super groovy....Anyway, nice to hear from an old fan!

This song could be released today and smoke the charts. I believe that completely. Great and timeless.
