Eric and J.D., the rock n' roll movie critics at Scene-Stealers.com, talk about growing old and the merit of having Martin Scorsese direct a concert movie featuring the four decade-plus Rolling Stones in his beloved New York City. Following an IMAX screening of "Shine A Light," they discuss the state of rock and how cool it is to see those grizzled old visages up close and personal. After palying in touring rock bands over half their life, these guys know a thing or two about music.

  • Hey guys love what you do. The two of you compliment each other perfectly. How do you get your trailers into your editor?

  • Thanks. Believe it or not, the studios send them to us to use in our reviews!

  • Do you ask for them individually or do they just send you PR packets?

  • we're on their lists-- you have to contact them first. find out who your local reps are from your local movie newspaper critic and give them a call-- then they'll send you an application and you can get on a list to get all that stuff. Or you can just download stuff from the 'net and answer questions from the studio later..tee hee!

  • I love your guy's reviews. Where did Eric get the sweet Scorsese shirt?

  • Thanks! CinefileVideo. They've got a Werner Herzog shirt in the Danzig logo, Ingmar Bergman as Iron Maiden, and Lars Von Trier(Van Halen), too!

  • right on, there are no bands that touch the stones-ever-they are rock-great movie, but the greatest stones movie is ladies and gentlemen- any stones fan needs to get the bootleg of that film.

  • Great flick... EXCEPT they showed footage most of the time Keef was singing! WTF. I just am so unimpressed with Scorsese. LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE THE STONES!!!!

  • BEST MOVIE EVER

  • I'm 14 and I saw Shine A Light a couple months ago (we had to rent it cuz we were wayyy busy when it actually came out).

Anywho, my friend slept over and we watched it together. We both absolutely LOVED it! I immediately fell in love with The Stones! They are now my second favorite band. :)

And I totally agree with the fact that there aren't really any bands today that are like The Stones.

    Great review!

    Love the Stones. =D

  • i like these guys. They know there stuff.

  • Would I be incorrect if I said that J.D. is less involved with "Scene Stealers" than Eric?

  • Goddamn, work it Keef. That scene when Keith is doing the solo from Sympathy For The Devil was awesome.

  • god damn, these guys fucking know their shit.

i don't exactly agree with every single one of their reviews, but it's enough to completely see what they're talking about each time.

definitely gonna make this my go-to for any movie that's reviewed here that i plan on seeing.

also, the "vocal calisthenics" comment was awesome XD

  • the lead guitarist looks like an alien.

  • Thanks guys - I'll be sure to mention you guys reviews in future shows. I'll promote ya good. LOL
