I've had my stock 2008 Buell 1125r (Speedo readings) to 167. I've read about Buells, (and bikes in general) reading a faster speed than they're really going. People with GPS, probably get a more accurate reading than a bikes speedo.. I was probably going alot slower than what my speedo was reading. What was your Bike speedo reading at the end of the Texas Mile? or maybe you were keeping your eyes on the runway??

I got mine to show 175 on speedo also. I think Im gonna try the texasmile this next march 2011. I have the full eric buell racing package- full fiberglass fairings, ecm, k&n filter, etc.

@Wforey I like your take off. I got mine up to 165 on the highway. I think has about 1000 rpm to go. It's completely stock, but an air filter. I love the Buell.

@wforey Hey man if you where there for March this year, the new Aprilia RSV4 R with aftmark pipe ran 168mph!.... I want the 1125r!!

i broke my speedo cable on the 89 zx1000 4 months ago i was using gps. can get anymore accurate than tomtom. and yes it was over more than a mile i am sure
