Shiloh was born with Bilateral Sensoneural Hearing Loss. Profound in his Right Ear and Severe to Profound in his Left Ear. He can not hear ANYTHING without amplification (hearing aids or cochlear implants). Though he is showing responses to sound with his hearing aids, it may not be enough for him to learn speech properly and so a Cochlear Implant is still a strong possibility. Either way, going from no response to some is still heart warming. Please know this whole video took maybe 5 minutes (and I cut it down to 2 minutes).
This is so heart warming to see the difference in Shiloh's hearing once his ears are on! My 6 week old was diagnosed yesterday with sensorineural hearing loss in both ears, it is moderate and hes having his moulds taken in a few days. Im 22, hes my first baby and im so scared for him, im just so happy I found out so early so he hopefully wont struggle with learning or speech. Shiloh is just gorgeous and I hope hes doing well :-) xx
