I am currently rehabbing a serious knee injury and here is one of the exercises I have seen progression with.

The chains draped around my neck:

1. Force an upright torso and head position
2. Force engagement of torso stabilizers
3. Provide slight instability to the movement

As you can see, I still have to push off with the trail leg, but the proper execution of the movement is done by "casting" (Mike Hanley) the trail leg to force the working leg to do all the work.

  • you are talking about platelet rich plasma. Look up the info on this and see what you can find out about its approved use in a knee injury by the FDA.

  • FYI there is a more aggressive form of prolotherapy where they take your blood an spin it in a centrifuge and concentrate the "good stuff" and inject it along with the prolo right into your ligaments-heard from a doctor friend that it works wonders...I'm getting it next time.

  • I am going to try the prolotherapy for my knee bc it slips out when stressed.Hopefully it works well enough, then I'll have my shoulder done too.

  • I have been getting prolotherapy treatments with a good amount of success, my mcl was grade 3 and my acl grade 2 and it doesn't flop around anymore, got another treatment or two coming. I think I should have done it first thing but I was a bit skeptical being there isn't much info on it. Most doctors say stay away, but they are taught to say that when they don't know about something. Anyway it works and I believe I will be 100% real soon.

  • bro ive done all those ligaments aswell and didnt opt for the surgery..how r u goin?

  • dude, you can't grow an acl back

  • youve got the knee out by like one inch too far...

  • great to see a knee rehab exercise done in diesel style-post some more, i partially tore my acl/mcl and slight knee laxity and didn't get surgery..i think i can get it back myself-

  • please diesel, i got injured too, since april i i broke my sinovial bag on the right knee(sorry i dont know the english word for it) and i got recovered, but not fully...how offen you would say i can do that to get better faster?(i went to the doctor, the bones are ok) thanks

  • hi i have knee pain and i believe this exercise may work for me, has it worked for you and how long did you have to rehab you knee to get it back to normal? thank you
