In July, 2010, Erin's Gift went to Littleton, NC, and stayed on beautiful Lake Gaston. We split our team in half and held VBS, Recreation and Crafts at the John 3:16 Community Center in Littleton, where we totally enjoyed the children of the area and the staff at John 3:16. So welcoming!
The other half of our team worked on a Habitat for Humanity project at Longview Plantation in Garysburg, NC, doing construction, clearing, and painting. The longest single-family-owned plantation in the State of North Carolina is now being converted into a retreat where couples and families in need of counseling and spiritual recovery can come and find help and rest.
Many thanks to Jane and Joe Brown and their wonderful friends and family.
In the evening, we went boating and tubing and just had some great times together back at the lake - thank you Wendy and Dan Davis for the generous use of your home and for your friendship! We love you.
