My name is Tana Sarnt, and I'm an actor/filmmaker in New York City. Thank you for watching my original film, "Midnight Sky." I've spent the past year creating this film with the sole purpose of landing a role (however big or small) as a Veritech fighter in the upcoming Robotech live-action feature film by Maguire Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures. To learn more about how I plan to make this happen, please read MY STORY at www.projectrobotech.com.

SYNOPSIS: This is a story told by an anonymous Veritech fighter pilot recalling two memories: his first encounter with Miriya, the Zentradi ace pilot, and his first date with a loved one on Earth. As with our own memories, the story is fragmented; dream and reality are unclear.

  • @WildlySavage Thank YOU. Thanks for watching.

  • Great job with this Tana- I saw your blog- I hope the live action will be greenlit sometime soon & you will get a fair chance to be cast! Who knows whats happening with the studio or with mcguire but regardless, robotech will always be a hot property and i still think it'd make a great live action! Ever thought about the live action 'akira' project? Good luck Tana!

  • @libertyno5 What do you think of the Akira project now?!

  • I am a big fan of Macross and I think you did a great job. Something I usually don't like with U.S movies is that there is too much action and they dont take time to introduce the characters's feeling. And I am afraid a mainstream Robotech movie would be the same as any blockbuster. So I think they should take some inspiration from your short, as it seems to me that you totally got what Macross is about : Love.

  • This is the greatest fanfilm I have ever seen. You work within your limited budget by focusing on human drama instead of visuals, but keep just enough visuals to establish where the story is taking place. The acting is right out of a professional movie, and in just six minutes, really made me believe in the relationship between the pilot and his girlfriend. The intercutting of dream images with reality also gave your film a fresh, creative quality. I hope you get a part in the movie!

  • haha. The helmet is one of those "if I could do it over again" items. Thanks for the comment!

  • nice...very nice.... except for the motorcycle helmet. :)

  • @ProjectRobotech hey pal!!! good job, the words that mean in spanish: thats great for me and thank you!!!

  • Thank you for the comment. Sunshine and Trainspotting are two of my favorite films. That music is actually from the Danny Boyle's Sunshine soundtrack, so you made a connection!

  • I really liked the Zentradi & Veritech stare off, accompanied by the flashback while the ambient soundtrack loomed in the background. Felt Danny Boyle-esque. Great work.
