gonna get a 405 for my 90 gallon do you reccomend it?

@TheMysteryman334 I would recomend it only if you are gonna use a skimmer and a refugium with it. The 405 alone is not good for saltwater tanks. the only good reason for the 405 in saltwater is for the carbon. You need to keep it clean all the time though becuase the waste can build up and that will lead to high nitrates in your system. I would honestly get a carbon reactor or just use chemi-pure elite in the sump instead of spending 200 dollars though.

why would you rinse the rings with tap water...ur supposed to rinse everything off in tank water to keep beneficial bacteria
laxplayer3690 5 months ago
@laxplayer3690 The reason i clean them with tap water is because this is a saltwater aquarium. The bacteria is present in the water and the live rock therefore killing them off the biomax doesnt really matter. it will be replinished quickly.
