  • hmm...I would have to say Sparta. Seriously, he and his men did what is really almost physically impossible. I dont know of an athlete that could do what he did with great physical strength and endurance. Lets be honest, the average sports game last about 3 hours so it doesnt even compare to what Sparta did in those few days. ~Raven

  • so legend ha it, i stuck with what i can see, not what ancient man tells me.

  • Well, when you said greatest of all time, I had to consider even the past. I dont think of Sparta as a legend because there is so much evidence that the story is real. Do you think Sparta existed? ~Raven

  • yes, but i think most of what we know of it is legend. they were porbably trained as a warrior tribe, but the rest is the stuff of legend. core truths with floral descripts.

  • Jim Thorpe. Period. He would have been a top level boxer as well. The rest of you need to get out of your mother's basement.

  • We hate sports.

    Except MMA.

And we'll give the crown to Randy Couture for that one,

    or maybe, Anderson Silva.

  • That's easy...Kurt Henning. He could sink half court shots with ease, getting a hole in one was par for the course, Greg Louganis was jealous of his expert diving skills and he defeated Hulk Hogan for the WWF title. He truly was Perfect. It was a shame he died way too young.

  • when you tease it really hurts.

    ...

great topic. it was fun reading all the comments.

    peace.

  • i was just teasing you about all the talent that walked away and what a team it could have been with all of them...

  • Eck was never a chitown guy. He played there but never made any mark on the town.

you mentioned perry so i commmented that he upped the size expectations in the league.

Sammy never, ever did steroids. palmeiro did and got caught.

Lee Smith was a cub first. only one season in baltimore. Went to boston then st louis. then moved every year

Sweetness was the best ever. He played for poor teams and carried the load for years.

Browns had better teams and lineman and defenses were smaller.

    peace.
