The Ahl Sunnah Wal Jama'ah agrees that the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is ALIVE in the barzakh.

"And do not say of those who are slain in the way of Allah: "They are dead". Rather, they are living, though you percieve not." (Surah Al-Baqarah, 154)

"Do not think of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Rather, they live, finding their sustenence in the Presence of their Lord." (Surah Al-Imran, 169)

Anas reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said,"The prophets are alive in their graves, praying."
(Abu Ya'la reports in his Musnad 6:147 with a soun chain as stated by Ibn Hajar al-Haytami in Majma al-Zawa'id 8:2111 and confirmed by Sheikh Husayn Asad. Al-Bayhaqi mentions it in Hayat al-anbiya' fi quburihim with a sound chain as stated by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani in Fath Al-Bari 6:487. It is also narrated by Tamam al-Razi in al-Fawa'id 1:33 and al-Suyuti in Anba' al-adhkiya' bi hayat al-anbiya' which is reproduced in full in al-hawi li al-fatawa who then comments that, "the life of the rophet in his grave...is known to us as definitive knowledge"

  • sunnimanhaj , i iwill first of all thank you for uploading this nice lecture. However in your lecture, you mentioned that Allah's beloved Prophet died like other ordinary human beings, that's not correct since the Angel of death asks permission from the Prophet to take the spirit out of the body , which he does not do with other humans.

  • @salman74pk

What i meant was the Prophet s.a.w. suffered death as do all other human beings. As for the manner in which he died of course it was different.

  • Learn first of all meaning of Ibadah and mindunillah ,inshaAllah you will understand those verses clearly and then you will be on Pure islamic monotheism and safe from Shirk.

  • you don't even understand arabic and you wanna teach us the Qur'an lol..amazing. You don't even understand a simple verse i.e. min surah fatir and you claim you have understanding of the Qur'an. amazing. You are a mubtadi'.

  • Allah is enough for us ,he is the best Judge. this is what all the prophets said and asked us to do the same.

  • this statement of yours shows the level of ignorance you suffer. None here have questioned the authority of Allah as supreme judge.

  • this is very clear for the stupids/idiots that Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) is still alive in his barzakh - if somebody still says he(SAWS) is dead, then they should leave islam right away!!!

  • @sunnimanhaj I love how so many Hadiths contradict the Qur'an. 39:30: Muhammad is dead.

  • In Islam, no one else can be sacrificed for the sins I (or you) do. I am (and you are) solely responsible for what we do. And this makes sense. God is not unjust to allow Jesus to be crucified for the mischief we make. God is absolutely just and therefore He has fixed a day of resurrection where he will resurrect everybody and judge them according to their beliefs and deeds.

  • Our hope is in the mercy of God as He himself says that He is the most merciful and most beneficent. In Islam, this life is a test and we will need to give an account in hereafter of what we do in this life. If someone does some sins and then repents and asks Gods for forgiveness: God forgives him but his repentance must be sincere (i.e. he/she should have firm intention not to do that sin again), you cannot cheat God because he knows what is in your heart.

  • (32) "And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest. (33) "And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!"

    (34) Such is 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt.

Verse (21) clearly says He was a sign for mankind :- showing mankind that God can create a human being without a father

  • (28) "O sister (i.e. the like) of Harun (Aaron) [not the brother of Musa (Moses), but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary)]! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman."

(29). Then she pointed to him. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"

(30). "He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;"

  • (25) "And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you."

(26)"So eat and drink and be glad, and if you see any human being, say: 'Verily! I have vowed a fast unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) so I shall not speak to any human being this day.'"

(27)Then she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said: "O Mary! Indeed you have brought a thing Fariya (an unheard mighty thing).
