It's because:

kotor = Full-scaled War between the Empire with a Tyrant and the Republic with a Fallen Sith

Kotor 2 = Assassinations, silent creeping betrayal waiting to reveal itself.

The people who made KOTOR 1 and 2 knew what they were doing. The first one was one heck of an adventure, great storyline and all. The second however, gave me the feeling of loneliness, like something was missing (the jedi), both were deeply emotional, but the second one was far darker, i swear i was going to be attacked everywhere i went. *shudders*

@NostalgicSince2005 -what with the economy and the state of the world and all being what it is like limeware glass that could crash into a billion pieces if one or a series of natural disasters struck,and the need to be prepared on a dime to hide in camo in the grass with a limited supply of food and god knows how many enemys in between your family and security meanwhile while playing a game depending on fragile economic weather of electricty,the dollar and unavoidable realities of life.. alot.

@NostalgicSince2005 ..easy really.. cant pick up the keyboard/controller pop thebloody game into the machine and start playing= not smart enough to play it.. erg open minded or something.. i only started using not smart enough because you started slinging 'stupid' around..

but seriously puns aside.. the game being relativley new still has and still retains a feeling of eerieness, being in uncharted places in lucases world and all(therego in his graying head) and with the economy and all -

The scary part about this is, in Kotor 1 Korriban was rather lively. In Kotor 2 it's just empty,desolate, and almost lifeless.
