  • @Allplussomeminus This is great too - Eventually you won't have to reference any more - so you learn it with out frustration and it will help you harmonize better until then.

  • won't the natural Dorian D scale cound like a C major scale though?

  • @TheKillander It will sound much different -The root is based on a minor chord, instead of a major chord.

  • one good thing to mention also is to notice the 1/2 step count pattern that repeats for majors and for minors. The 4/3 for majors and 3/4 for minors.
