I got into a car accident December 5. A guy hit my side of the car doing over 45 mph and snapped my neck. I was taken to Orange Park medical and then rushed to Shands Trauma from there. Then was put into my halo. So the big day has come. I got my halo removed after wearing it 24/7 non stop for 98 days. I don't know how i made it. It was honestly the hardest thing i have ever been through. But its here, its done. So enjoy!
Congratulations on getting it off! I had to wear one for 3 months also, and I remember I couldn't even hold my head up after the halo came off! It really is a terrible experience.Glad you are doing well!

Thats awful! How do you bathe when wearing a halo? And also do the things on the forehead actually go into the head?

my great uncle got into a car accident and had to wear one. He's fine now. Probably because he crashed right across the street from a fire station.

I was in a car accident around December 5th also. I got hit my a mac truck from behind. I get my halo off next month. I've had this thing on since June. So almost 7 months with it. I agree this it's one of the hardest things to go through.
