This song is interesting for a number of reasons.
It has the "I took my razor blade, and laid Reuben in the shade" line from "Old Reuben" (the traditional country song which we recorded for the Ramblin' album), the next line of which is the "graveyard of my own" line, which appears on "For the love of Ivy."
At the time, there was a great drive to encourage cassette sales, so the song was an added bonus track to drum up sales of the cassette version of Las Vegas Story. Unfortunately, no one was ever able to track down the original Las Vegas Story multi-tracks, so the CD version was mastered straight from a cassette!
I think it also marks the start of Jeffrey's evolution into an evocative storyteller -- a folk singer, if you will.
