@michaelofnewbabylon when they are young, most lizards are much more flighty and more likely to run around. you need to take a lot of time to tame them and connect with them and they calm down more as they get older and trust you more. its a lot of work.

@Alucard0715 I must always get the exception to that rule about water monitors being mellow, I read online, look at videos on here everyone says mellow, every one I have is a speed freak that thinks its the crocodile from lake placid >.> its happend twice now lol maybe ill try to find one thats older.

That one is still growing. I had a similar experience with one about twice that size. It behaved the same way, it could care less about being around people. Awesome lizards for sure.
