When something isn't broke, don't fix it. That has been the motto of European cheesemakers for centuries and it has worked really well. However, sometimes things are not right or wrong, sometimes they are just different. That is the case with cheese. American cheeses versus European cheeses. Old World versus New World. No one is better than the other. They are just different. We thought it would be fun this week to feature both sides of the debate and let you decide.
Fourme d'Ambert, eh? I'm gonna try that.
My fave blue is stilton and I haven't found a gorgonzola I like (too sharp?) So the fancy french fourme sounds great. Chears!
