Good places to farm (I've played it 3x through);
1. Chapter XI- Yaschas Massif- Tsumitran Basin (Behemoths/Triffid battles) 5+k/ battle, Archylte Steppe- Northern Highplain- Behemoth/Megistotherain (they respawn rather quickly)
2. Eden- Leviathan Plazan if you can find the Adamantioise you can farm 40k off him
3. Tajin's Tower 5th teir (8k/ pulseworks)
4. Orphan's Cradle- The Terrisacts (32k/ 10minutes- 1 time only area)
5. The Terrisacts (100k/ 20 minutes)

A good spot I found to get CP is over by the entrance to the cave place on the edge of the map. It shoul have a behemoth and megalo-something (looks like a big wolf thing). You always get preemptive strike, and get around 6000 CP from that fight. The best part is they respawn after going back up the cliff past the save point. But if you do that, make sure to take out the behemoth first, then kill the wolf thing second.
