  • Eddie is a very humble guy. He never claimed to be the best ever, but he is extremely innovative and has done a lot for jiu-jitsu. His contributions should be appreciated.

  • eddie was a brown belt during adcc

  • 10P system is like any other you take what works for you and use it where you can. Theres no point in hating on it, I have short legs at 5 ft 11 so I struggle to play 'rubber guard' well ( and boy have i tried ) but love the 'lock down' its a case of using whats useful for you!

  • To people who don't know but Eddie was a brown belt in this fight

  • @sweetzombijesus

Your point is very well stated, however I think the 10P system is based on physical characteristics present in very few people. I think time has already lent plenty of evidence to te effectivness of 10P philosophy, tactics and techniques. System has been around for 8 years and MMA is the world's fastest growing sport. A strong correlation should be pretty obvious

  • @lsloewen2 I don't see the extra focus on the rubber-guard or twister side-control as "wacky tricks". Some of Bravo's teachings do seem to have helped some high-level fighters. I would not say the guy is redefining bjj, but his school of thought definitely has some merits.

I guess time will tell, either way.

  • @pearcemark2

Are your legs as flexible as Malgahaes? Are you in his shape? 10P is for white belts, you have to outgrow it to progress. Cmon, it's been around what, 8 years? And in that time has garnered ONE ADCC victory? How many tournament and grappling competitions have been lost because people are so fixated on wacky tricks? And please, for the love, stop kissing Bravo's ass. Everyone that practices jitz wants to "take jiu jitsu to it's highest level", that 10P cliche is meaningless.

  • @lsloewen2 Because Eddie had a vision that makes complete sense and people retardedly fought against it for no good reason, so when you see all the good things he brings you love to support his cause. All he wants is to advance jiu jitsu to the highest level it possibly can be. And his student just won ADCC using rubber guard, as well as another student winning IBJJF gold with rubber guard on the same day. His vision is coming to fruition.

  • @I3054

That same argument is ignored the other way around "bravo beat Royler, that's that", and then he goes and recreates jiu jitsu? 10P is NOT an evolution of martial arts as it is marketed. If you want to see how martial arts is evolving, look at Anderson Silva, GSP, Jon Jones

  • @lsloewen2 anyone can lose anyone can get their ass kicked anywhere at anytime by anyone i just think its great hes evolving martial arts and not doing the same old shit over and over again and being stagnant

  • I don't get the bizarre Eddie Bravo ("stop hatin") worship when this match proves he isn't THAT GOOD. He has great skills (he is in ADCC after all) but Leozinho thoroughly, and pretty conclusively KICKED HIS ASS. Why aren't the same people adopting Leo's views about EVERYTHING like they do to Cano--I mean Bravo's (marijuana, jitz in MMA, space aliens, ect)

  • @Mahalie729 Eddie, humble? lol
