I'm tired of people not knowing what the heck this exhaust sounds like, or claiming it is quiet. What a load of bull.

Start up and idle of 2002 35th Anniversary Camaro SS with SLP's 345hp Center Mount Exhaust (Center Exit Exhaust) and about 16,000 miles on the odometer. There have been no modifications to the car since it was delivered from SLP to the dealership November 2001. This is exactly how the 345 hp package 2002 SS Camaros sounded when brand new with no changes to the factory cats, exhaust manifolds/headers, etc.

If you don't have a subwoofer on your computer, the sound will not be accurate. No exhaust sound is accurate without having a subwoofer to convey the low frequency noise no matter what video you're listening to. That is especially true for this exhaust.

Without a subwoofer, you'll barely hear anything at all in this video, because this is a very low frequency, smooth, and bellowing sounding exhaust that sounds about 2 times louder than the stock SS exhaust, particularly at idle, and much smoother overall.

Try downloading the video as an MP4 with the Firefox add-on Download Helper, then burning the video to a DVD and watching it on your TV if you don't have a 2.1, 4.1, 5.1, or 7.1 surround sound system on your computer if you really need to get a closer to accurate sound. My speakers are a great 2.1 system, but with the subwoofer turned completely off, even I can barely hear the exhaust at all, and it isn't remotely accurate. You have to have a subwoofer or it won't sound even remotely close to how it sounds in real life.

  • How do you make the lights come on right when the exhaust barks as it comes to life??

  • @75z28 lol, I think she just started the car right up. She didn't turn the key half way and let the electronics come on first, she just turned the ignition all the way quickly

  • I just hooked up my laptop to my subs and he's not lying it does sound totally different

  • @pimpy6 Thanks! I'm glad someone other than me was able to hear what it actually sounds like!

  • sounds a bit quiet id perfer borala thats my opion only though sick camaro though!!

  • Do you happen to have a subwoofer on your computer speaker system? Without one, the sound won't be very realistic and you won't hear much. If you have a high tech friend with one or even a Wii and a surround sound system on their TV, try watching the video on that sometime. I think you'd be surprised how nice and loud it sounds! Borla is louder for sure, but it's raspy, so it's a different sound. Thanks for the compliment :)
