U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today said the legislation he has introduced with Senators Mike Enzi (R-Wy.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) to close the online sales tax loophole has "solved the problem" of collecting sales tax from out-of-state businesses, and encouraged small business owners "to rise up and support it." Alexander introduced Donnie Eatherly, the owner of P&E Distributors, a Nashville-area auto-parts business, at an event attended by several small business owners from Tennessee who support the Marketplace Fairness Act.
this isnt a sales tax loophole. They arent located in your state. They dont get to vote in your state.
